Due to rapid global expansion, Content Guru are looking for talented Solution Consultants to support our growing team based in Reston, Virginia. As a Solution Consultant, you will be responsible for harnessing excellent technical and commercial understandings of our products and services to present solutions to our esteemed clients which meet their objectives and needs. Solution Consultants form an integral part of the Sales process, assisting colleagues in customer discussions to craft compelling technology solutions.

As a Solution Consultant, you will be responsible for:

Technical Solutions

  • Work with Sales and liaises directly with technical and senior customer contacts to establish an in depth understanding of customer business objectives & technical requirements.
  • Identify and develop technical solutions from the Company portfolio in line with customer requirements.
  • Build positive relationships with the product, provisioning and support teams to ensure the solution has buy-in and can be effectively delivered and supported.
  • Provide progress reports to Sales and accurately report on opportunities to management on a regular basis.


  • Analyse requirements and design the appropriate customer solution.
  • Maintain an up to date knowledge and understanding of suppliers and their processes to ensure that proposed solutions can be delivered in required timescales.
  • Evaluate and mitigate risk of non-standard solutions elements.
  • Produce costs to support the technical design as required.
  • Provide design solutions for additional customer requirements, working with the Engineering and Product Management departments to assist in the standardisation of bespoke solutions and service.
  • Translate technical elements of a design to appropriate language for the target audience, especially to non-technical audiences.

Building Relationships and Closing Deals

  • Develop long-term successful relationships. Must be comfortable at dealing with clients of all levels including those at Director Level.
  • Apply experience of engaging with senior personnel to open up new opportunities by dealing directly with decision-makers and influencers when required.
  • Assist the sales teams to meet or exceed agreed sales targets, putting in place suitable action plans to ensure success.
  • Support bid work and maintain bid library collateral as required.
  • Take part in sales demo/presentations as required.

Knowledge and Awareness

  • Develop a strong understanding of the company’s products and services and be able to communicate this technical knowledge to all audiences.
  • Work with the Group’s channel partners to educate them on product suite of solutions becoming the technical expert.
  • Develop and maintain expert technical sector knowledge, with an understanding of a specific technical or market sector in order to ensure credibility to the customer and their confidence that the proposed technical solution meets their specific requirements.
  • Possess an understanding of the commercial drivers and financial benefits of a solution bearing in mind customer budget limitations.
  • Upskill other internal teams or customers as required, e.g. creation of training materials, or involvement in customer-facing webinars.


To be successful in this role, it is critical you have the ability to design and develop solutions in accordance with actual customer requirements to meet and exceed their needs in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will come from a contact centre background with extensive customer-facing experience. You will be joining a small, fast paced team of experts in our US office so you need to be able to thrive in a dynamic environment.
